Peer inspector & Additional Inspector recruitment – Initial Teacher Education sector
Would you like to develop your professional skills and contribute to improvement in your sector?
We’re looking for candidates with senior leader experience in Initial Teacher Education to become Peer Inspectors and Additional Inspectors.
Peer Inspectors and Additional Inspectors are a key part of our inspection teams. If you qualify, you’ll use your knowledge and skills to:
• observe sessions, talk to learners, and scrutinise samples of their work;
• have discussions with partnership leaders and staff and use your observations to draft sections of the inspection report.
As an Inspector, you’ll be making an invaluable contribution to Estyn inspections. You’ll get a unique opportunity to see effective practice in action, and to take these examples back to your setting to support improvement. We offer training and, if completed successfully, we’ll add you to our register of Peer Inspectors or Additional Inspectors.
We hope to encourage as many applicants as possible to ensure we have robust inspection teams. We particularly welcome those from diverse backgrounds and those working in the medium of Welsh to apply.
