Developing independent learners

Pupils are particularly effective at taking ownership of their learning and this develops successfully as they move through the school. Younger pupils show curiosity and demonstrate resilience when faced with challenges. Older pupils often set their own success criteria and use a range of strategies to research, problem-solve, and reflect on their progress. They make good use of feedback to improve their work, showing initiative in extending their knowledge beyond the classroom.
