The Nominee Role

Two primary school students in art class

A nominee acts as a school’s representative on the inspection team throughout the inspection week. The role is usually undertaken by the headteacher, but can also be assigned to another senior leader if agreed by the school. The nominee’s input helps ensure that the inspection team has a full understanding of the school’s context. They can provide additional information and context about the school, offer clarification on areas discussed by the inspection team, and ensure the school’s voice is heard during the inspection process.
