Peer Inspector Recruitment – Independent & Independent ALN Specialist schools

Would you like to develop your professional skills and contribute to improvement in your sector?

We’re looking for candidates to become Peer Inspectors who are currently senior leaders in:

• Independent or independent ALN specialist schools

Peer Inspectors are a key part of our inspection teams. If you qualify as a Peer Inspector, you’ll:

• use your knowledge and skills to observe sessions, talk to learners, leaders and staff, and scrutinise samples of pupils’ work.
• contribute to discussions, helping the inspection team to arrive at agreed evaluations.
• use your observations to draft short sections of the inspection report.

As a Peer Inspector, you’ll be making an invaluable contribution to Estyn inspections. You’ll get a unique opportunity to see effective practice where it’s happening every day, and to take these examples back to your setting to support improvement.

We offer full training which, if completed successfully, will add you to our register of Peer Inspectors.

We particularly welcome those from diverse backgrounds and those working in the medium of Welsh to apply.
